The new E.ON is one of the strongest operators of European energy networks and energy-related infrastructure, as well as a provider of advanced customer solutions for more than 50 million customers. With a total of over 75,000 employees we are represented in 15 countries. This makes us ideally positioned to help drive Europe's energy transition.
By focusing on two sustainable growth areas and with the acquisition of innogy, E.ON fully commits itself to the fundamental transformation of the energy world. As one of Europe’s largest energy service providers we will actively drive the energy transition in Hungary and Europe.
Combining the expertise of both companies will also make E.ON a pioneer in developing new and innovative energy solutions and attract the brightest minds in the energy sector.
The way we use energy is going through massive change. New technologies and higher customer expectations mean that we’re looking to a new type of leader to help us shape the future. Could you be one of those leaders?
Our energy sector is going to see more change and excitement than anything that has come before. The rise of electric vehicles, demands for cleaner energy and the shift to SMART metres are all great examples of the changes happening right now. And we’re proud to say that we now only supply 100% renewable energy to UK homes.
But what’s next for energy, and how we go about managing it? We’re asking these big questions now, and searching for future leaders will have the ability to make those kinds of decisions.
Joining different teams on different days, rather than staying in just one department, will give you access to all kinds of internal and external influencers and experts. That way, you can work on big transformation projects that require broad knowledge and flexible skills, instead of just taking on smaller task-based work.Starting with a 12-week frontline placement will give you a first-hand understanding of exactly what we do for our customers. Which will help shape the rest of your four-year programme alongside the talent team and your mentor.
You'll look at subject like:
- Understanding the energy solutions market
- Understanding and working with our range of customers
- Matching big initiatives to real-world operations
You’ll need a minimum of A Levels at ABB grades (or BTec DDM) and at least a grade C (Level 4) in GCSEs in Maths and English. During the scheme, you’ll be working towards a BA in Business Management – a degree that gives you serious credentials as a business leader. And, at the end of the scheme, we’ll support your transition from Apprentice to whatever role suits your career aspirations.
Due to Covid 19 and the current impacts on exams for 2021, we will review requirements for the role closer to exam dates in 2021.
