Job responsibilities

We are currently looking for a SHE Advisor. In this position you will ensure that the company has the highest possible standards of safety, occupational health and environmental responsibility, and that these are properly and effectively implemented across the business. This task will be carried out in a manner wholly consistent with Kier's SHE policies and procedures. You will make sure that the Group is compliant with all SHE(A): statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, and contract specific requirements. In addition you will report on SHE(A) performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board.

You will define SHE(A) strategy and policy and manage the reporting, reviewing of all SHE(A) accidents and incidents, also guaranteeing that Kier is represented in the formulation of future SHE legislation. Anticipation and awareness of future SHE legislation changes will be required to make plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled, timely manner.

What do we need from you?

We need you to be NEBOSH qualified or equivalent (or demonstrable IPD / CPD equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety with experience of working in a SHE environment. If you have Tech IOSH/ Graduate IOSH, IOSH Managing Safely and have Auditor IS001/9001/14001 then this could be the perfect role for you.
