ROLE

The role of Scheduler exists to provide the interface between the short-term power and gas traders and Grid Operators. Each physical trader will act on the market in accordance with a view on the OTC, capacity market and power exchanges. It is the role of a scheduler to ensure that the physical positions exactly match the trader’s strategy, so that no value is lost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities include:

* managing short term physical electricity and gas position in UK, DE, FR, CH and IT.

* acting as the interface between Green Network and the Grid Operators for the submission of nomination within the countries we transact and the nomination of border flows to the respective grids.

* ensuring that the positions displayed in our scheduling systems reflect the reality of the trading desks’ activity on the market in terms of trades being captured and transmissions scheduled per nominated physical flows

* understanding the requirements of each Grid Operator in terms of nomination, procedures, deadline, etc.

* Avoid the scheduling errors and minimise the impact of costly “imbalances”

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

If you have worked in a previous scheduling role and you have a commodity/energy background, please apply. Candidates should understand the UK electricity transmission systems and the interconnections between the various European grids.

Candidates should be highly motivated, passionate and proactive individual with good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent knowledge of English Language is required.

Required experience: Previous proven experience in scheduling Power and Gas

Education: Bachelor’s
