Operations Manager - Multi Utilities
West Midlands
£60,000 - £70,000 + car allowance + package
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-utility Operations Manager to cover the West Midlands. We want an enthusiastic, career driven individual to support and grow across all NERS, WIRS and GIRS operations. The responsibilities of the Operations Manager will include;
* Overall construction responsibility for dedicated region within the Midlands
* Management and resolution for operational complaints within dedicated projects
* Review the weekly schedule to ensure efficiencies are undertaken and the correctly qualified and competent personnel are allocated to the work
* Recruit and induct new operatives
* Support all team/operative issues and supporting with and working with the heads of Electric, Gas and Water departments to ensure safe working practices and compliance
* Monitor and authorise all timesheets, wages and bonus payments outside of the system generated payments
* Ensuring new gas, electricity, and water networks built directly are fit for purpose and within company procedures, guidelines and policies
* Assist in ensuring accreditations such GIRS, WIRS, NERS, MURS, Gas Safe, OAMI are maintained
* Assist and support the Executive Operations Director in the development of greater efficiency within the company.
Experience and attributes of the Operations Manager will include;
* Strong proven background within utilities, ideally Multi-Utilities although one discipline will be considered
* Experience of multiple Contract/Project /Site Management within a geographical area
* Proven ability to work under pressure and deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at various levels building strong, compelling relationships
* Strong commercial awareness
* Proven experience of implementing and raising awareness of Health and Safety across sites
* Proactive, organised and hands on approach with the ability to work well as a team and on own initiative
* CSCS Manager/Supervisor level, SMSTS, NRSWA
* Full Clean driver's license
