Position: Energy Trading & Operations Manager
Salary Guide: £70,000 - £75,000 (negotiable) Plus 17.5% Bonus and Excellent Benefits

Their aim is to source, store and distribute energy to allow their customers to serve their energy requirements in a smarter and more cost effective way. They are looking for an experienced individual to manage their Energy Trading desk, with the particular emphasis on trading the electricity from their fleet of merchant power plants.
You will be expected to lead a small team to deliver:
Compliance of the Group Energy Hedging Policy.
Monitor and manage group electricity positions and forecasting to optimise electricity revenues from merchant plant.
Manage and improve flexible wholesale supply and export contracts for their fleet of ERFs, landfill and Gas CHPs.
Identify energy market based incentives/costs that may impact their Group operations.
Provide support and advice to customers concerning energy trading activities.
Provide reliable reporting to senior management on trading performance.
Improve risk management policies and techniques to better manage risks to gross revenue arising from energy market fluctuations.
Experience you will need:
Must have worked in either an energy consulting business or licensed energy supplier.
Proven experience in managing Power Purchase Agreements and energy risk management techniques.
Decisive and able to use own initiative in dealing with operational problems.
Disciplined and able to work under pressure.
Experience in negotiating PPAs and the operational delivery of such Agreements.
Proven knowledge of particular challenges arising from energy from waste would also be beneficial
