Head of Contract Management (Schemes) - Renewable Energy
Our client sits centrally within the UK energy sector and requires a Head of Contract Management (Schemes) to lead its Renewable Energy Contract management team. The company's role is central to the delivery of the UK Government's objective to ensure energy supplies across the UK are reliable, affordable and clean.
Its mission statement is to implement and develop electricity market schemes by providing independent insight, leadership and expertise.
As the Head of Scheme Management, you will manage a team to maintain and share up to date information on performance of both Contracts for Difference (CfD) and Capacity Market (CM) schemes, taking an impartial and objective view on all issues, decisions and any potential changes across the schemes. You will always being looking ahead and consider any potential improvements to the schemes and will work closely with the company's policy, insights and strategy teams to help shape future designs of schemes.
*Lead on scheme issues and portfolio contractual change and perform commercial analysis on specific first-of-kind or portfolio issues.
*Provide advice, support and guidance to the contract management.
*Lead CfD client portfolio of client contracts, control issues, changed and lead engagement activities with generators on scheme issues in-line with contract management.
*Ensure both internal and external relationships such as Policy and Insight teams work cohesively.
*Oversee the development of materials for scheme applicants.
*Lead the development of new stakeholder offerings for generators.
Required Skills / Experience
*Strong understanding of UK energy policy landscape and regulations or UK power generation.
*Demonstrable experience of working with a range of stakeholders, ideally within the public and energy sectors
*Experience of handling a portfolio of large scale and complex contracts with long term financial risk ideally within energy/infrastructure
*Strong influencing, written and verbal communication skills with experience of reporting and exposure to senior management.
*Experience in explaining and presenting complex technical or financial information.
*Knowledge of CfD and / or the CM schemes is desirable
