Principal or ambitious senior level Ecologist required for dynamic multidisciplinary independent consultancy based in North Bristol.

My client is a fiercely independent consultancy with a fabulous reputation in the market.  They have an enviable culture as well as an exciting portfolio of high profile and challenging projects across the UK.

As part of their exciting plans going into 2019, my client is seeking an ambitious Ecologist with a proven track record as both a Technical and Commercial practitioner.  You will take a pivotal role within the company and their established ecology team. Working alongside the Divisional Director, you will be supporting the management of a diverse range of exciting projects.

In this key role, you will be involved in technical delivery of projects, report writing and sign off, as well as management of junior staff and supporting client and business development initiatives for the business.

Key Work Areas

  • Managing, coordinating and undertaking ecological surveys for a range of species (while supporting and mentoring more junior staff members)
  • Producing high quality reports
  • Delivering complex projects on time and to budget
  • Support business development and profile raising work

Ideally You Will Have The Following

  • Upwards of 7 years relevant industry experience
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
  • Protected species licence(s) would be advantageous
  • Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification
  • MSc in a relevant environmental discipline (desirable but not essential)
  • Full clean UK driving licence
