Our client is a leading independently owned waste management company. A vacancy currently exists for a Sales Coordinator. Based at the Company’s Sheffield operation, you will assist with incoming enquiries, generate quotes, update computer systems and schedule work. The Sheffield operation is comprised of an oil treatment plant, hazardous waste transfer station and a fleet of tankers for waste collection and industrial services. Main duties will include: • To be a first point of contact for customers in responding to enquiries by phone and email • To input data into in-house computer database (SWOPs) and other administrative computer systems • Generate quotes ensuring attention to detail and checking all prices and caveats are correct • To assist in the scheduling of collections and bookings • Follow up on quotes and enquiries with customers to obtain feedback • Ensure paperwork is completed correctly to allow accurate invoicing • Liaise with operational staff for confirmation of details required for quoting, bookings and invoicing • Generate required paperwork for each job, including documents required by law such as consignment notes • Assist with provision of financial information required for ‘month end’ • Provide ad hoc administrative support as requested. • Liaise with the administration team to ensure cover is provided at all times, including periods of holidays and sickness Essential Requirements: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy • Good IT literacy with ability to use Microsoft Office products • Well organised with good time management skills Desirable Qualities: • Experience of working in a transport or operational environment • Knowledge of SWOPs computer system (full training will be provided) • Knowledge of ADR or Hazardous Waste legislative requirements Ref: J8323
