Estates Surveyor (Minerals & Waste)
Our client, a leading waste operator, is looking to recruit an Estates Surveyor for their Northern office. In this role you will develop and enhance the Company’s profitability by obtaining and managing planning permissions, environmental permits and other consents required by the operations business and bidding teams. A significant part of the role will include estates management of the Company’s quarries business. Qualifications & Experience • Degree educated in either mineral or waste planning and/or relevant environmental based qualification with a minimum of at least 5 years’ post qualification experience • Minerals and waste estates management experience • Experienced in delivering consents on time and to budget • Experience of maintaining working relationships with regulators and other stakeholders Essential Knowledge • Comprehensive understanding of the Town and Country Planning Acts with a detailed understanding of the politics, processes and policies involved • Knowledge of the environmental permit regulations relevant to the waste management industry • Knowledge relevant to Estates management including an understanding of matters associated with the Landlords & Tenant Act.
