Business Development Manager - Surrey
Client The client are a waste outsourcing company with the aim of developing innovative solutions for clients waste management issues. As an outsourcer they are able to negotiate costs with supplier though bulk purchasing power and act as a single point of contact for all waste management issues. They provide total resource management solutions to a range of clients including some well-known coffee shop chains, hotels and private medical practices. Role As a business development manager you’ll be calling and visiting new clients. Some of the client leads will be provided for you, but research and opportunity development will be integral to your role. The client’s services are carefully tailored to each customer’s needs and you must be comfortable developing solutions for clients that have multiple locations or very large sites with multiple waste streams. Candidate You must have a thorough understanding of the outsourcing model and be comfortable selling services consultatively rather than on price. Many of your clients will require multisite solutions for a range of waste streams and previous experience operating at this level will be essential to this role. The proactive nature of this sales role requires a level of commitment and resilience. High performers will have the ability to focus on the good stuff, seeing setbacks as opportunities to learn.
