Our client is an award winning waste management company specialising in the transport and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Environmental Administrator to join the company’s Compliance Team, based at their treatment site in the North West, with occasional visits to other sites in Northern England. Role Profile: • Effectively coordinate with personnel from all sections of the business to complete their actions set during meetings and audits etc. within specified deadlines • Data entry into Microsoft Word products and internal databases as appropriate. • Production of health, safety and environmental reports both for internal use and submission to regulators • Research into applicable legal requirements and best practice to identify potential improvements • Updating site documents including training records, site plans and action trackers • Organising events, logistics and training • Ensuring documents are retained in accordance with Quality Management System • Documenting risk assessments and method statements • Assisting management staff with the implementation and maintenance of ISO systems • Provide assistance to the Site Managers of Northern sites including production of risk assessments and the management and monitoring of our ISO systems to maintain certification. Essential Requirements: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy • Good IT literacy with ability to use Microsoft Office products and the internet • Proactive and positive self-starter • Excellent team working skills • Well organised with good time management skills • Familiar with ISO Standards 14001, 9001 and OHSAS 18001 • Full UK driving licence Desirable Requirements: • Experience within an industrial or waste management setting • Safety, health and environment knowledge and experience including risk assessments and method statements • Ability to undertake Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Risk Assessments • NEBOSH qualification or similar • Ability to use CAD • Auditing experience The role comes with excellent benefits which include company pension, life assurance (for pension scheme members) healthcare cash plan, childcare vouchers and company bonus scheme.
