Our client is a specialist consultancy providing ecological services to a wide range of private and public sector clients throughout the UK. They offer a complete range of services from initial scoping studies through to onsite monitoring and management. As their team consists of both generalist and specialist scientists, they are able to cater for most ecological disciplines and cover a broad range of projects.
Due to an expanding client base, they are currently recruiting for an Ecologist to be based in the West Midlands area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking habitat and protected species surveys to a high standard and would be involved in impact assessments along with a range of other interesting project work.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant first degree and have at least three years professional experience within the industry which will have involved Phase 1 survey methodologies. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to write reports to a very high standard. Candidates must also have a sound knowledge of British flora.
Membership of the IEEM would be an advantage.
