Ecologist - West Midlands
Our client is a large Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy they provide comprehensive support at all stages of business and project development. Due to the ability to offer specialist expertise they are able to provide a fully integrated service that is renowned worldwide. Due to continued expansion they currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Ecologist to join their West Midlands based team.
The role will involve working within a team of ecologists to provide support to project work across the UK by conducting ecological surveys, data collection and analysis and associated project report production. Surveys will include habitat and protected species surveys and assisting with environmental impact assessments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for producing species and habitat action plans and biodiversity action plans.
Applicants must have a first degree in Ecology or a closely related discipline as well as a professional experience of working as an Ecologist. Experience should have included Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys. The ability to competently identify British birds by sight and sound is essential as is the ability to work unsupervised. Membership of IEEM would be an advantage as would a protected species license.
