We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Quality specialist working for a multi-award winning Energy Consultancy and Building Services Design Consultancy in Reading. This role can be located in either Reading or London and provides the opportunity to work for a company that has ambitious growth plans and an increasing number of air quality projects to work on. The successful candidate will also work with reputable planning, sustainability and environment teams, as well as being able to develop the air quality division of the business.



The ideal candidate will naturally be a self-starter and good communicator.



We are looking for someone with a passion for sustainability and the desire to learn. You will have a good grounding in sustainable building design and energy policy/legislation to drive the company's growth plans. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist our sustainability and environmental departments and associated services propositions
  • Undertaking technical air quality assessment work (planning/construction stage monitoring/post occupancy work place assessments)
  • Liaise with project teams in relation to Air Quality BREEAM/LEED requirements
  • Provide technical input and strategic advice to internal teams and external clients
  • Provide occasional CPD workshop presentation to external clients on Air Quality and planning policy requirements
  • Produce regular indoor Air Quality plans, dust monitoring reports, VOC reports etc
  • Produce BREEAM reports for BRE QA audits
  • Experience of modelling expertise (including ADMS-Roads, DMRB screening, ADMS, and GIS mapping tools) and the ability to provide mitigation advice aligning with other specialist consultants e.g sustainability and acoustics
  • Develop and build relationships with industry peers, consultants and Clients
  • Mentoring and upskilling junior staff of the team to enable continued excellence




Key Skills and Experience



Essential
  • Engineering or Environmental Degree qualified
  • Proficient at undertaking air quality planning reports and work place monitoring reports
  • Proficient at modelling software such as ADMS-Roads, DMRB screening, ADMS, and GIS mapping tools
  • Proficiency in using CAD
  • Good understanding of reading architectural drawings
  • Good understanding of Planning policies and industry best practice guidelines




Preferable
  • Qualified and Chartered member of the IEMA
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Good understanding of EIA assessments
  • Good presentation and communication skills
