Following a number of exciting new instructions and continued growth my client are now seeking an urban designer/masterplanner to join their dynamic and growing team in Gloucestershire.

The client are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team player with a good working knowledge of urban design issues and a genuine interest in the environment. Their ideal candidate will possess substantial post qualification experience gained in a design practice working on urban design and masterplanning projects at a variety of scales. You will have first class computer and graphic skills, confident presentation and negotiation ability, an understanding of housing layouts and some experience of other environmental disciplines would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be able to visually communicate using a range of medium including AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up and hand drawing. Working knowledge of GIS software would be an advantage.

The role will include the production of all typical masterplanning services, including: feasibility appraisals; concept schemes; urban design appraisals; morphology studies; preparation of public consultation materials and stakeholder events; Design and Access Statements and masterplans.

You will have the opportunity to develop your masterplanning and project management skills by working closely with the clients existing team of experienced masterplanners and learning directly from the other core disciplines within the company. The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form part of an excellent benefits package.
