We are looking to recruit an Offshore Project Manager into our existing team where our services have assisted Clients with Consenting more than 2100MW of Energy projects

Due to the on-going success of our Planning & Development Services department, we are looking to recruit an Offshore Project Manager into our existing team where our services have assisted Clients with Consenting more than 2100MW of Energy projects, 1300MW of which are offshore.  We are currently providing development services to Clients within the order of 3.6GW of current applications

We work on some of the most interesting and challenging renewable projects in the UK and Ireland, and you will be given the opportunity to work on offshore Wind, Wave and Tidal projects where you will hold a pivotal role in managing EIA co-ordination, contractors and the consultation process.  This is an ideal opportunity for those looking to take their career to the next stage and gain experience in a buoyant industry where we hold an enviable reputation.

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Manager based in Ireland, you will primarily be supporting Natural Power’s delivery team for a major offshore wind farm.   You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering EIA Co-ordination and consent management for both onshore and offshore elements of this Project.  A full list of duties and responsibilities is available on request; however below are the fundamental elements of the role:

  • Project Management, including EIA Co-ordination and consent management
  • Stakeholder liaison
  • Budget Management
  • Regular reporting

Knowledge and Experience

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field; ideally this will be complimented by a postgraduate qualification.  Further to academic qualifications, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience in a similar role with a Consultancy or Developer, fulfilling comparable duties and responsibilities as discussed above. Applicants may also have gained relevant experience from within a statutory consultee body.

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically capable individual with experience with offshore wind projects, being able to demonstrate an understanding of the overall commercial aspects of the role including client management.  Knowledge of the wave and tidal industry and consenting requirements would also be an advantage.  You will be capable of working as a team, and independently, being able to prioritise and manage your own time in line with the changing needs of the Project and Natural Power business.  You will have an eye for detail and will be capable of producing error free work even when under pressure.  Proficiency with I.T. is essential and exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management packages would be highly advantageous.

You will possess excellent communication skills being able to convey clear and concise information in both written and verbal format to staff, clients and third parties alike. Further to this you will have excellent interpersonal skills being able to develop / build relationships with all stakeholders.

You must be comfortable in a client facing role where you will be responsible for liaising with clients, developing new business and pursuing leads through to confirmed work.  Due to the nature of the work, it is essential that you hold a valid full driving licence and are prepared to travel to client sites in Ireland and UK.
