Ecological Planning & Research Ltd is a leading, well established, ecological consultancy with strong roots in the land use planning and management environments, and a first class client base across southern Britain. We have an extensive portfolio of environmental assessment and conservation management planning work, and are well known for our objectivity and depth of experience of nature conservation in Britain.
We wish to further expand our growing team through the appointment of a first class Senior Ecologist. We are seeking highly motivated people with at least 4 years of relevant experience preferably including a consultancy environment, to manage a range of exciting projects. You must be an IEEM member (or eligible to become so). Your report writing skills, and spoken communication, must be excellent. You will have had extensive ecological experience, with good all round habitat and/or species survey experience, and must be able to bring specific expertise in one or more specific areas (we are particularly interested in experienced bat and bird ecologists). Understanding of nature conservation and planning legislation, and experience of its implementation, is essential, and practical experience in EcIA is also a requirement, together with an understanding of development issues and experience in dealing with commercial clients.
The position would attract a highly competitive salary (negotiable based on qualifications and experience) and a comprehensive benefits package including an ethical pension scheme and an extensive in-house training and professional development programme.
