What's the role?

This is an exciting time for new and renewable energies. The market in NW Europe is growing quickly and there are an increasing number of projects.

We're busy growing our New Energies and Offshore Wind portfolio, developing greenfield opportunities and we're also getting access to projects before (or just after) they go into development.

And that's why we need you. A talented commercial leader for our Offshore Wind group – to find and deliver the deals that grow our offshore wind portfolio.

You'll be joining a talented team focused on helping build new business for Shell. You'll be contributing in a growing industry that operates at the forefront of technical, commercial and financial approaches. And you'll be a key player in Shells team working on the offshore wind projects,

What will you do?
You will help support the growth of our new Energies portfolio in offshore wind through the following:

  • You'll find and deliver the deals for a diverse set of offshore wind opportunities
  • You'll also build deals that allow us to grow our exposure to different regulatory, financial, and power markets
  • And you'll look for opportunities to partner with others – and make sure that the right deals are in place with these partners
  • You'll be involved in the structuring of financing. You'll understand how this affects relationships between joint venture and supply chain partners (and the interaction between these aspects of a project). You'll take care of the risk and value management of these aspects


Requirements
What we need from you
You'll have extensive experience in the offshore wind market or related activities, and have a great track record looking at market evaluation in both the upstream and downstream power markets.

You will also be able to talk about your skills and experience in:

  • Deal identification & delivery
  • Economics & Finance
  • Contracting and Procurement


You'll also be the flexible and dynamic type. Someone who is:

  • Adaptable to change and have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ready to cover a wide scope of activities and priorities
  • Able to nurture great relationships with external partners such as commercial partners, regulators, associations, banks, and investors
