Fine Energy Ltd are recruiting for a planner with LVIA experience to work from either our Birmingham or Edinburgh office. You will be required to travel around the UK on a regular basis, undertaking site visits, holding community consultation events and meeting with Local Planning Authorities. Fine Energy identify and develop wind energy sites and specialise in small to medium scale, onshore wind turbines of up to 500kW.This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established company which has just entered its fifth business year.
The role will involve obtaining planning consent for small scale wind energy projects, interaction with local authorities and liaising with investors and stakeholders. You will manage multiple proposals through the full planning and development lifecycle and communicate and report progress on a regular basis. Applicants should be familiar with Highland Council’s Visualisation Standards (2010), the ETSU R97 noise standard and the Institute of Acoustics Good Practice Guide May 2013.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant academic history and extensive work experience in the renewable energy sector. You will have a strong analytical approach, a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a professional attitude and a quality-driven approach. CMLI would be an advantage.
