Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform engineering duties as advised under supervision of assigned, Project Manager or supervisor
  • Take responsibility for engineering tasks, and perform associated calculations and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and project QMS and HSE procedures
  • Supervise and co-ordinate engineers
  • Liaise with other members of the project team
  • Proficient in writing and checking of design reports and calculation sheets
  • Have experience of preparation of procurement data sheets and material and fabrication specifications
  • Liaise with contractors
  • Undertake assignments in other offices, client offices, or on-site
  • Support to bid preparation
  • Contribute to the Company Technical and Marketing Publications and presentations

Competencies and Experience:

  • 15 years minimum experience with a minimum of 10 years of direct offshore electrical & instrumentation design experience
  • Preferably gained experience in design engineers/consultants or installation contractors
  • Competent in electrical & instrumentation design, especially in a offshore environment
  • Knowledge of electrical & instrumentation requirements and standards
  • Construction and offshore experience desirable
  • Project engineering experience desirable
  • Experience in bid preparation desirable
  • Demonstrate significant experience and expertise in Projects deploying ICSS, DCS, ESD, F&G, or PLC systems for process control
  • Working knowledge of safety instrumented systems, with a relevant qualification

  • Mathcad
  • MS Word and Excel


  • Relevant Degree qualified
  • Specialist Masters and chartered status
