Job Description

In KPMG's Management Consulting practice, we don't limit ourselves to either strategy or implementation. Instead, we deliver both - equally well. In People and Change we generally work with big blue chip clients to help them transform their business through organisational development, talent management, behavioural change management, optimising the HR function and workforce optimisation We have exciting times ahead and we are looking to grow our team.



Roles and Responsibilities



We are especially seeking new team members who can demonstrate experience and proficiency in one or more of the workforce optimisation areas:



Workforce planning - design, testing and implementation of workforce planning arrangements including demand and capacity forecasting and analysis aligned to workforce cost optimisation recommendations. Advice on workforce deployment arrangements including workforce composition, temporary and contract resources and outsourced service delivery.



Terms and conditions of employment - involving development of new terms and conditions of employment anchored to preferred market position, experience of working with trade unions and works councils in the UK and across Europe. Familiarisation with TUPE and ARD.



Reward and incentive design - including design, testing and implementation of basic pay structures, cash bonus incentive schemes for both senior teams and wider workforce, and retention incentive schemes to support major restructuring events. Experience in design and implementation of sales incentive and commission schemes would be desirable.



Performance management - including design, testing and implementation of new performance management schemes including familiarisation with top team balanced scorecards', performance, dashboards and workforce metrics, measurement and reporting.



You will be expected to be able to:



- Project manage client project work in a workforce optimisation assignment or manage a single workstream within a more complex change programme.

- Manage a small team of consultants, likely to include a mix of onshore and offshore team members.

- Work closely with the client project manager and team members to successfully deliver project outcomes.

- Provide specialist and technical input and review of others' inputs in the design and development of project deliverables.

- Contribute to workforce optimisation business development. This may include working with key account teams to scope opportunities or developing proposals to meet client requirements.

- Contribute to development of workforce optimisation methodology and tools and P&C generally.



Qualifications and Skills



In addition to the experience listed above, we welcome candidates who can also demonstrate skill and experience in one of the following People & Change specialisms:



- Change Leadership - ensuring organisations realise the benefits of large scale change and transformation projects by embedding new behaviours and minimising underperformance during the change.

- Organisation Design for Performance - target operating model development, organisation design, role clarity, performance management, organisational culture, employee development and reward/recognition.

- Optimising Human Resource - creating cost effective, integrated HR functions that contribute to the delivery of business strategy.

- Talent - helping clients identify, retain and develop talent.

Candidates will require excellent communications skills both in writing and orally, and strong familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office packages. For Workforce Optimisation in particular, demonstrable numeric proficiency is essential together with the ability to spot trends and draw conclusions from large quantities of data.



Experience and Background



We welcome applications from candidates who have experience gained in blue chip operational environments or in HR Functions as well as candidates who have a track record of success with other professional consulting practices.



We are looking for bright individuals who are highly motivated and can work independently as well being a great team player. Candidates will need to demonstrate robust technical skills alongside financial and commercial awareness as this applies to workforce optimisation services.
