Support & Services Engineer
This role is for an immediate full-time, permanent vacancy in the Horsham office for an enthusiastic and creative engineer to join the European team, supporting customers and sales force in the use of the AQWA product. There will be the opportunity to interact closely with developers to gain specialist knowledge. The position will also involve working closely with other Mechanical and Explicit product services staff.

The post holder will have a sound knowledge of the marine/offshore industry and will make a significant contribution to the business as a recognised expert in their discipline providing in-depth technical expertise.
The candidate will work on a wide variety of support activities, including:
*Prepare and perform AQWA software pre-sales support for clients, including demonstrations, benchmarking and technical support for sales activities.
*Undertake AQWA software post-sales support for customers by responding to help desk or web queries.
*Carry out consultancy and funded development projects.
*Deliver existing and customised training for clients, develop training materials and assist with practical sessions.
*Provide feedback on client requests and defects to development staff and maintain awareness of current development.
*Assist in the production of technical marketing material for meetings, seminars and conferences.
*Other job related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
*Degree or higher in Naval or Marine Architecture (or related subject).
*Experience in the offshore or marine industries, including experience with floating structures, ideally for a minimum of two years.
*Keen interest in engineering simulation software.
*Previous experience in a customer or sales support role is desirable but not essential.
*Preference will be given to candidates with experience of AQWA, Workbench or Mechanical products.
*High level of computer literacy.
*Current driving licence.
The successful candidate will be hardworking, capable of working under pressure and able to work on his or her own initiative when required, or as part of a team. Good customer focus is required, with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to listen. Proven problem solving skills and a willingness to travel are essential. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend about 30% of their time away from the office, mostly in the UK and Europe.
