LOCATION: Rutland, Leicestershire - will include approximately 220 offshore
JOB TITLE: Service Engineer
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary + 12% employer contribution pension, private medical insurance, life cover, £30 per day overseas allowance (if applicable) and other excellent benefits
THE COMPANY: Our client, an American owned company established in 1979, are the global leaders in combustion solutions providing design, engineering and installation of industrial burners, incinerators, flare systems and flare gas recovery systems worldwide.
THE ROLE: Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer. You will be responsible for undertaking on-site commissioning, maintenance, trouble shooting, training and anything else required to develop excellent relationships and exceed our customers' expectations.
Working in the oil and gas industry both in the UK and worldwide which will involve extensive travel
Generate 'summary' reports and maintain time-sheets to support site visits
Starting up new combustion systems on-site
Working with all of Zeeco's combustion products and systems including flare systems, flare gas recover, power, process burners, thermal oxidisers. BMS and associated pollution control equipment
Identify potential End-user/After market opportunities and help develop potential opportunities/MSA agreements
Carry out service and maintenance contracts

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will be an excellent team player who can also work using their own initiative. You should have the ability to work well under pressure with the ability to identify and maintain appropriate standards whilst working alone. You will be a confident decision maker and have excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible as this position will include extensive overseas travel.
Key skills and experience required:-
A degree/HND supplementing
Good overall multi-skilled engineering knowledge; mechanical bias with electrical or vice versa. Materials and/or PLC knowledge is advantageous
Good computer skills
The ability to work at height
Previous oil, gas or related petrochemical experience
International service industry experience
