IT Power is a leading international sustainable energy and climate change consultancy. IT Power's Offshore Group focuses on the marine renewable energy market - tidal, wave and offshore wind.

We are seeking to expand our team, and are looking for a mechanical design engineer and an electrical engineer. It is expected that candidates will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in their field.

The work will relate to offshore renewable energy, supporting site developers, government organisations, private clients and device manufacturers in studies and practical engineering relating to ocean energy exploitation.

Projects fall into two broad categories: technical modelling and design work and general offshore renewable energy consultancy.

Mechanical or Electrical conceptual and detailed design.
Specifying requirements for installations while complying to relevant regulations and standards.
Hydrodynamic and load modelling.
Electrical system modelling and analysis.
Development of marine installation and maintenance operations.
Market, strategy and infrastructure studies for marine renewables, Resource, market and infrastructure studies for marine renewables.
Due diligence studies on marine renewable concepts.
Writing specifications, and tendering.
Identification of opportunities for future work and the preparation of proposals to potential clients.

Person Specification
We are seeking a keen, well-motivated individual, able to take responsibility for their areas of work. They should be capable of working in a team, and communicating well with colleagues, clients, suppliers and external organisations. The ability to write reports clearly in English is crucial. Candidates should have a thorough grounding in engineering, and be qualified to degree level or equivalent. We are looking for candidates ideally with several years' experience in industry, in marine or offshore engineering, or renewable energy. Candidates must have all the necessary documentation to live and work indefinitely in the UK.
