BAE Systems Maritime Naval Ships are looking to recruit a Build Assurance & Acceptance Manager to be based from our offices in Rosyth.



You will ensure build assurance requirements of the ships blocks and DC zones are delivered to the satisfaction of the Aircraft Carrier Alliance (ACA) to the correct standards through to ship completion



As a Build Assurance & Acceptance Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

To oversee delivery of the QEC Quality Assurance Plan and ensure the ships blocks and DC zones comply with the customer standards as defined in the ship specifications and verification acceptance requirements.Implementation of the agreed QEC deliverables as detailed in the Construction Acceptance Plan.Through close liaison with Lloyds Register (LR) and oversight of LR requirements to ensure that compliance with the requirements for structure, electrical and platform i.a.w. Lloyds Rules For Naval Ships 2005 is achieved.Monitoring and auditing of calling notices issued by Quality Control in accordance with relevant plans for Compartment Completion Inspections (CCI), audit of inspections, trials, and acceptance events.

Audit of defects and delinquencies including management of concessions.

Contribute with ACA Industrial Partners (IP) to the standards and process instructions to provide, "best for contract" and best practice.

Act as the focal point for deliverables for block handover receipt and validation



Assurance of the ships blocks and DC zones to the agreed standards.

Assurance that the ship specification acceptance criteria, relevant to the block build and ship, has been delivered.

Identify "Opportunities for Improvement" from past experience (Learning from Experience LfE), and implement action plans to improve build and acceptance standards.Assure effective implementation of Contractual Build Standards on ships blocks and sponsons and Damage Control Zones of wholeship (DC Zones 1 - 5 inc)as directed.

Delegated acceptance authority for specific activities

As a Build Assurance & Acceptance Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:Full understanding of Quality Control, Assurance and Acceptance processes.

Open interactive management to promote alliancing behaviours and to ensure high contribution and development from all team members.

Able to converse and report at board level.



Salary: ??33,000+ depending on experience
