My client a leading developer and operator in the offshore wind industry are currently recruiting for a Project Planner on a 6 month rolling contract.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Providing project planning (scheduling) support to the project team via the Senior Planner
  • Manage the project schedules in accordance with the project work breakdown structure and ensuring that project schedules are developed.
  • Assuring that project plans are regularly updated and within levels of certainty to allow effective monitoring, forecasting and control
  • Ensuring that project schedules conform to the Change Control Process, in terms of liaison, communication and calculation of change notes and change orders
  • Ensure that standard Project Planning requirements are met, understood and embedded from both Contractors and Sub-Contractors into the project systems
  • Producing planning reports for input into the monthly reporting process
  • Carrying out risk analysis, weather downtime analysis and delay mitigation analysis

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in planning of large construction projects (such as power, oil and gas companies or general engineering consultancies) in multi-discipline teams
  • Extensive knowledge of the software tools Primavera and MS Project
  • Knowledge of PERTmaster or similar would be an advantage
  • Experience of planning offshore or marine construction works would be an advantage    
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English (oral and writing)
  • Willingness to travel
