We provide expert services to the renewable energy industry in the development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy projects. To facilitate the growth of our Asset Management business we are currently recruiting for a Wind Farm Manager for a number of sites in Cambridgeshire.
 

The Team
 

Our Asset Management department provides management services on approximately 2.1GW of wind energy, making us the leading provider of wind farm management services in the UK.  We provide a range of services for utilities and independent power producers, including award winning Health & Safety management, HV system management, site performance analysis and optimisation, WindCentreTM 24/7 monitoring, commercial and financial services. 

The Opportunity

Due to our continued success in the industry, we are looking to recruit a Wind Farm Manager for a number of sites in Cambridgeshire.  Your primary role will be to perform technical, administrative and safety management duties.

Technical: Following training you will manage the High Voltage (HV) operations on site. You will be expected to achieve Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for HV management up to 33kV within 18 months. You will be willing to work at heights of up to 80m for the inspection of Wind Turbines. You will be expected to obtain a good understanding of the main systems and components of wind turbines.

Administrative:  You will work with our WindCentre team to ensure all works on site are effectively planned, administered and recorded. You will manage operational budgets and complete reports for the site owner.  You will support our analysis team in providing information to assist in site performance analysis.

Health and Safety: You will review safety documentation and personnel capabilities as required in advance of any site works, performing audits and checking the operations of contractors on site.

The position will be primarily based from Site, however you will be called upon to support other operations in the UK, and should be prepared to spend time working on other sites in other regions should the need arise.  You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the primary site.  You will be required to be part of an on call rota to provide 24 hour technical assistance to these wind farm sites.

Qualifications:

You will have an engineering qualification and able to demonstrate significant experience and knowledge of the major electrical and mechanical components of wind farms or similar technical environment.  Previous High Voltage operation and maintenance experience would be advantageous but not essential.  You will be expected to have a strong awareness of health and safety with the strength of character to manage the safety of contractors performing maintenance and inspection works.  A formal safety qualification would be an additional benefit.  Good communication skills, computer literacy and administrative skills are essential.  

You must hold a full UK driving license and will be able to maintain a reasonable level of personal fitness for the safe climbing of Wind Turbines.
