Our client a multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy now have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental / Geo-Environmental Consultant to join this growing division based in Birmingham. As an organisation their Geotechnical and Environmental Engineers add value across a strong client portfolio comprising of high-profile commercial and residential projects, as well as conservation and regeneration schemes. With a reputation for high quality design and project delivery this is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to develop and enhance their career.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in the day to day project management of Geo-environmental Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations and prepare interpretative geotechnical and environmental reports. You must have relevant experience, which should include:
- Desk Studies
- Site Investigation
- Risk Assessment – GQRA and DQRA
- Remediation design and implementation
- Report Writing
- Project management
Ideally you will have an excellent academic background preferable degree qualifications in the following disciplines; BSc Geology, Geoscience or Geochemistry, ideally with MSc Environmental Engineering, Contaminated Land or Engineering Geology, or similar. You should possess a proven track record of working on complex contaminated sites for an environmental consultancy, excellent planning / project management skills and the ability to solve problems. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated and dynamic with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
