You will possess a commanding knowledge of risk and reliability techniques, process failure analysis, and probabilistic risk analysis. Published, with a growing profile and professional network, you will undertake research across the Department and support postgraduate teaching and a growing short course programme. To succeed, you will also have a firm understanding of practical risk issues in industry and the utility sectors, be flexible in applying fit-for-purpose, quantitative techniques and be willing to tailor these to industry and policy problems. You will undertake research in these areas preparing proposals, papers and drafting client reports.
