A Senior or Principal Remediation Engineer is requried in our Wimbledon office working within our Environmental group.
As a Remediation Engineer at this level your role will involve Project management and director on specific major/strategic site remediation programmes and providing detailed technical input on a wide range of site investigation and remediation projects. You will actively support URS H&S culture in the design and implementation of remedial works and maintain / improve quality of key project deliverables. You will be expected to actively support business development activities (including development of opportunities and proposal preparation) and will be responsible for technical mentorship of mid level and junior staff within the soil and groundwater team.
We'd expect that you will actively participate in the network of remediation practitioners within the UK and Europe and will play a key role in assisting in the building of URS profile within the remediation field (through internal and external presentations and active participation in technical forums).
We would expect significant experience of working with in and coordinating multi disciplinary project teams and a good knowledge of a wide range of soil and groundwater remediation technologies (with detailed understanding of specific areas based upon previous experience), you should have an overall understanding of the remediation process, including the assessment of remediation options and development of remediation strategies, conceptual design, detailed design, implementation and validation.
You must have a robust and demonstrable understanding of site investigation and assessment practices and site conceptual model development and must have extensive experience in the detailed design and implementation of a variety of remedial programmes.
