Our client is an award-winning employer that provides specialist risk assessments. As a result of its success it now requires a commercially aware Principal Toxicology (Human Health) Consultant to deliver high quality work, whilst providing excellent customer service.
The main purpose of this role is to drive business development of toxicology regulatory consultancy in the EU and to deliver high level consultancy in this area. You will:
-Sell consultancy through developing relationships with key clients including seeking and increasing opportunities with new clients.
-Account manage key clients.
-Lead technical and high level toxicology consultancy support including preparation of agrochemical and REACH dossiers and other regulatory documents.
-Manage contracts for key clients.
-Provide technical support to other staff.
-Attend relevant conferences and meetings.
You will be required to work flexibly, travel and work away from home for short periods of time.
In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you fulfil the following criteria:
-A degree or equivalent in toxicology or a related discipline.
-Experience in regulatory toxicology within the agrochemical or chemical industries, or in a Contract Research Organisation.
-Extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant EU toxicology legislation.
-Experienced in the use of exposure tools (such as ConsExpo, ECETOC TRA, ART, Stoffenmanager, BEAT).
-Experience in the preparation of safety assessments and expert reports for regulatory submissions.
-Experience in conducting data gap analyses and devising testing needed to assess the safety of chemicals to human health.
-Business development experience in developing and expanding into new markets.
-Sales experience in negotiating with clients, promoting the business at commercial exhibitions, marketing and promotional activities.
-Sound track record of managing contracts.
-Experience in presenting to a variety of audiences on relevant issues.
-Full driving licence.
