Technical Director - Water Treatment

Allen & York are searching for a Technical Director within water treatment to join a major engineering consultancy.
 
The main purpose of this position is to work on major projects bringing management, technical and industry knowledge to the successful delivery of these projects.
 
Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships
Leading and supporting the development of a capability hub (physical or virtual)
Winning new business from new and existing clients
Providing superior quality consulting and engineering services
Recruiting new staff into the water sector
Supporting regional initiatives with water related advice
Proposal development
Project management including budgeting, scheduling and quality requirements
 
Our client is searching for a water consultant with specialist knowledge in raw-water and waste water treatment technology selection and concept design. You must also have a background in water treatment systems for the industrial water sector and in particular water management for major oil, gas and/or mining projects.  
 
Proven experience in water resource efficiency planning and improvement and be able to demonstrate very strong industry experience is also essential
 
A Bachelor degree, higher degree preferred, from a water-sciences or engineering discipline is essential alongside relevant experience
 
Membership of Professional and Technical Societies is highly advantageous
 
Foreign language skills would be an advantage particularly French, Russian, Spanish or Portuguese.
 
International mega-project experience is highly desirable and there will be requirement for national as well as international travel.
