This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to establish this new role in the University. It includes taking responsibility for all environmental and energy matters including cost and energy saving, finance, budgeting and regulatory compliance.
You will play an instrumental role in developing the University's environmental strategy and identifying innovative approaches to saving energy, reducing costs and continuously improving the University's carbon footprint. You will be the principle point of contact for all environment and energy matters within the University and to external suppliers and regulatory bodies. You will drive forward the University's application to the EcoCampus scheme and ensure that the necessary reports and returns are prepared for Carbon Reduction Commitment. You will report to the Deputy Director and will join a friendly and committed Estates and Facilities Department, with colleagues involved in every aspect of running the University's campuses and buildings.
