Aquatic Ecologist

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior, Aquatic (freshwater) Ecologist with a proven track record in technical delivery and business development to join our UK-based team working in energy, nature resources, infrastructure and commercial development sectors.

With offices across the UK, we can be flexible on location, the post sits within our Ecology team who are based at number offices in the UK.

The role will entail:
1. Leadership (technical, commercial, safety) and growth of the existing aquatic ecology capabilities in the UK.
2. Business development with the water industry and regulators.
3. Working closely with our water team and international development team as part of the wider Ecology team to deliver projects and pursue new opportunities.
4. Development of project scope, project management and technical review of deliverables.

We are looking for a well established, experienced candidate and you must have post graduate experience in this field to be considered.
You will have established working relationships within the water industry and have experience of team leadership within consultancy.
You must have excellent knowledge of the UK regulatory environment and its application within the water industry, in particular, a good understanding of the Water Framework Directive and its application.
