A well known name in the energy industry, our client is an award winning employer with an excellent reputation. The purpose of this role will be to appraise and interpret client requirements to ensure that all technical, commercial and legislative parameters of the district heating elements of projects are understood and communicated to appropriate personnel within the company.
You will design district heating networks in the form of calculations, equipment selection and process operation whilst auditing the systems performance. In addition you will generate documents (schematics, PIDs, drawings, descriptions, specifications, design documentation, proposals) as well as supervise and mentor junior/intermediate design engineers.
A vast amount of relevant knowledge is required, including: CHP systems, CAD software, health and safety legislation, CDM, auditing, risk assessments, pressure system standards and control (PED), boiler functionality & operation and design, DH network design, hot water distribution systems, BMS/SCADA systems, water treatment, and relevant national, European and international boiler design codes.
