Allen & York are searching for a Site Manager to join a well known provider of Hazardous Waste disposal services in the UK.
 
The purpose of this position is to supervise the processing of incoming waste materials via process machinery in order to produce a suitable product for recycling or disposal. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality control of output materials and also acting as first line manager, handling disciplinary action with support of HR.
Establishing training requirements for operational staff and ensuring all operations take place within controls and constraints are also an important element of this role.
 
Other responsibilities:
Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
Ensure all Health & Safety guidelines are followed at all times.
Produce records of safety related incidents
Ensure operations conform to all Waste Management Licensing Regulations and all Environmental Permits
Work with SHEQ Manager to maximise efficiency of all equipment.
Communicate and implement change as and when needed.
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
Liaise with drivers and other personnel as necessary.
Administration duties
Perform audits
 
You must have experience of managing a waste facility and you will ideally be a COTC Holder. Experience of direct management, operational efficiency systems and ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems is also essential.
