WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world's leading conservation body, we're also committed to safeguarding the natural world through tackling the global threat of climate change. And by helping to change the way we live, we'll ease pressure on natural resources.
We work at a number of levels to tackle forest loss and degradation, with a focus on the trade in illegal and unsustainable timber and wood products. As part of our work on Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade, you will manage an EC funded multi country project focussing on the effective implementation of voluntary partnership agreements. The aim is to increase the trade flows of legal and sustainable wood to the EU from the participating countries.
You’ll have exceptional project management skills to take on all aspects of leading this project. You’ll ensure that all project milestones, work programmes and deadlines are met in-line with contractual obligations, as well as overseeing and coordinating with an internally based project team of senior level staff. Highly motivated and proactive, with the drive and commitment to deliver against challenging goals, you’ll have experience of working with EC contracts and of working in an international context.
