My client is a fully integrated developer, owner and operator of solar energy power projects. They are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to be responsible for assessing the company's compliance with Health & Safety legislation in order to effectively promote the well-being of employees in the workplace and to ensure exposure to risk is avoided.
Duties and responsibilities
·To develop and maintain the Health & Safety policies and procedures in order to ensure and facilitate compliance with the legislative requirements.
·The prospect will Interpret and provide advice and guidance to all departments pertaining to the policies and procedures.
·You will design and conduct relevant in house training.
·Provide advise to management of training requirements to ensure legislative compliance.
·All the preparation of reports to the Management Team
·The causes and effects of workplace accidents should be investigated by you, in order to identify and determine effective solutions and actions.
·You should make sure the company remains legally compliant under the CDM regulations as the Client'
·Ensure you conduct site specific risk assessments effectively.
PERSONAL SKILLS
Knowledge
.Possess a sound working knowledge of health and safety legislation including Health and Safety at Work Act and Construction Design and Management Regulations.
Work Skills
.Have a full driving licence
General Skills/Attributes
.You should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
.Ability to influence key stakeholders in the business.
.Flexible approach to working hours.
Experience Required
. You should ideally have 5 years' experience within construction health & safety.

. NEBOSH Diploma
