The principle functions of this position are to:

- Supervise and deliver flood risk assessments, mitigation commissions and network modelling commissions in accordance with client contractual obligations
- Experience of using standard industry software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Hec-RAS and Infoworks.
- Work collaboratively with Network Modelling Team leader to deliver business critical projects and develop business differentiating capability
- Establish and maintain key contacts for new and existing clients
- Build successful relationships and understand legislative and client needs to inform business planning
- Successfully manage projects to quality, time and within budget
- Responsibility for the development of annual business plans
- Manage the tender process, and overall responsibility for development of bid material
- Actively promote and drive best practice project management
- Promote safety culture within the office and on projects, leading by example on mandatory training and the practice of safe working
- Provide developmental support, training, mentoring and professional development to team

Senior professional with proven track record in project delivery and with customers.

Essential:

- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Water and Environmental Manager (CWEM) with at least 15 years post chartered experience
- Track record in the delivery of flood risk assessment and mitigation measures including mapping and data handling using standard industry software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Hec-RAS and Infoworks
- Experience of developing and maintaining client relationship and developing business opportunities
- The ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients, effectively and professionally, both written and orally
- Ability to ensure full understanding of client business and needs
- Experience of formulating annual business plans
- Experience of successfully managing the tender and bid process
- Experience of promoting and safe working and design
- Experience of managing a team
- Extensive Project management and delivery expertise
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with Clients and develop business opportunities.

Desirable:
- Working knowledge of NEC3 forms of contract particularly Framework Contracts and Professional Services Contracts
