Then join us and become a Species Officer and help to deliver our responsibilities for protected species of fauna and flora within South and East Wales.

The starting salary will be £11,701.02 a year which is pro rata to a full-time rate of £19,679.00

This is a fixed-term, pensionable, part-time appointment of 22 hours a week until 16 August 2013, but may end sooner or later depending on when the permanent post holder returns.

A single Environment Body for Wales is expected to come into being on 1 April 2013. Staff who are employed by Countryside Council for Wales immediately before that date are likely to be transferred to the new body.
