About the role
The Head of London Acoustics will be central to shaping the future of the Acoustics profession in the London studio; driving new business and developing client relationships through a wide range of successful and profitable design projects.
As the most senior Acoustic Consultant at the BDP London studio, the Head of London Acoustics will lead a growing team of Acoustics consultants, and will act as the Acoustics Project Leader on an extensive portfolio of building projects across all construction sectors.
In addition to the above, daily duties will also include providing exemplary technical expertise in all acoustics fields, particularly environmental, building and architectural acoustics.
About you
You will be a driven and motivated Acoustics professional, comfortable in providing exceptional Acoustic technical expertise within the multi disciplinary BDP ethos. You will also be an entrepreneurial and dynamic profession leader, able to lead and motivate a team while driving new business, and maintaining an exemplary client focus. As a member of the Institute of Acoustics, your background will have equipped you with technical expertise of a range of related issues and techniques.
You will have in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, of how to successfully cost, bid for and win work, as well as a demonstrable track record of delivering successful design projects. We are an integral part of Building Design Partnership Limited, the foremost interdisciplinary practice of Architects, Designers, Engineers and Urbanists in Europe. BDP has studios across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, UAE, India, and China, and a proportion of our Acoustics workload is overseas.
