As one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in Europe, our client provides education and training to a wide range of learners and clients across the City of Manchester and beyond. The mission of the college is to deliver a high quality, inclusive and comprehensive curriculum, in an accessible and flexible way.

 

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced engineering / building services industry professional to join us to lead the Colleges’ environmental, engineering and building services provision; developing and implementing an employer responsive environmental sustainability curriculum to meet internal demands and employer requirements.

 

Based at the new Wythenshaw campus, you will lead on the development of an environmental sustainability business plan and work with key stakeholders to maximise income generation, joining a team of senior managers in pursuit of one of the colleges priority missions, the sustainability agenda.  Ensuring cost effective and contractually compliant planning and operation of quality learning and skills delivery, you will develop delivery plans to maintain the Colleges position as a sector best practise lead and achieve operational, financial and quality targets by effective planning analysis and reporting processes.

 

Candidates for this role must have a proven track record of working at a senior level in the engineering / building services industry coupled with knowledge and experience in an environmental sustainability industry and / or business.  With a background in managing a complex operation achieving outstanding results within budget and deadlines, you will have experience of managing a successful, highly motivated team and of developing successful business partnerships whilst achieving, analysing and reporting on performance, financial and quality results.
