Their work load is on a variety of high profile projects across various sectors. You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EIA process and have a solid working knowledge of the UK planning system, and environmental planning and the planning application process. It would also be of particular interest if the right applicant had specific Scottish market experience.
From a technical stand point you, will have extensive experience in coordinating EIAs and preparing ESs and similar documents. Strong experience in client liaison, fee proposal writing and project cost management, is something that will also be required as part of the role. Academically you will ideally have a 1st degree and 2nd degree in a relevant subject in addition to working towards or having already achieved Chartered Environmentalist and / or IEMA Environmental Assessor registration.
As the role requires and experienced consultant you will be expected to be able to work fairly autonomously and be able to communicate both up and down the reporting chain. As you will be joining an existing team there will be an element of mentoring more junior members of staff and this will expand as you develop into the role.
