Senior Hydraulic Modeller

Our client is one of the UK’s leading engineering design consultancies in the UK.  Due to a growing portfolio of interesting modelling work, it now requires candidates with excellent client engagement, project and people management skills to join it in a number of locations.

You will be joining an established team of modellers and multi-disciplinary engineering staff, and will play a key role in delivering the existing wastewater modelling programme of work for the UK and international water industry.  You will also have an important responsibility for developing technical expertise and will be expected to contribute towards the overall future development of the business.  This will include:
- Technical and project management of drainage area studies and other projects including drainage, FRAs and option development
- Interfacing with clients on project and business development issues
- Mentoring junior staff
- Preparation of bid documents and estimates
- Supervision of project teams and supporting the Business Manager in resource planning
- Contributing towards technical innovation and improvement workgroups

You will be degree qualified in civil engineering and have experience in drainage design and sewer network modelling using Infoworks.  A good understanding of UK water industry and regulatory issues is essential as well as the ability to mentor and provide technical leadership.  In addition you should have experience in project management and working with accredited quality management systems.  It is also important that you can be available for secondment to other company and client offices.
