You will have a degree or equivalent in a social or environmental subject with a higher degree in a social discipline and/or an extensive amount of experience gained internationally. You will have previous experience of undertaking large SIAs and contributing to project development studies, ideally for international (non UK) projects and for a variety of natural resource commodities, as well as evidence of exposure to various environmental disciplines (including air, water, geochemistry, noise, biodiversity/ecology) and an understanding of how these relate to socio-economic situations. Knowledge of the Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards as well as other international best practice is required. You should also have a proven track record of bringing projects in on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction. In addition, you will have:

-Proven leadership and team building experience

As much of the work is based in Africa, fluency in French would be ideal but not essential.
