Head of Research Accelerators
The Carbon Trust Innovation team works with public and private sector clients to help bring low carbon technologies to market quicker, cheaper and at greater scale. Within this team we now require a Head of Research Accelerators.
Leading a team of managers responsible for technology commercialisation programmes (Research Accelerators), you will provide strategic support and direction on multi-£m initiatives, including the initiatives in biofuels and fuel cells funded by the Department of Energy & Climate Change.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders you will be responsible for leveraging new public funding and private investment for the Research Accelerators, in addition to extending and enhancing the Carbon Trust’s reputation as a leader in low carbon technology innovation. Raising the profile of our work through conference presentations and media engagements will be required.
As the Head of Research Accelerators your strategic direction will be underpinned by your key knowledge in a number of key technology areas. You will therefore be degree educated (at least 2:1 or equivalent) in a science or engineering discipline. It is essential that you will have extensive commercial management experience, and experience of managing technology development programmes. An extensive knowledge of knowledge of low carbon technologies would also be desirable.
