Senior Social Impact Assessor / Corporate CSR Specialist

Londonup to £50K + excellent benefits

My client provides consulting services to the mining sector on a global basis and currently has projects in Eastern Europe and CIS, Asia, South America and Africa.

They work extensively with the private and public sectors including international development banks, government agencies/ministries, commercial banks, aid agencies, developers and private companies.

 Your responsibilities include

- Conducting and managing Environmental and Social Impact Assessments for mining developments

 - Ensuring compliance of ESIA documents to corporate project requirements and International Financing Institutions regulations

- Providing high level technical environmental advice and regulatory liaison on a broad spectrum of issues within mining projects

- Manage significant complex projects and be able to review complex technical environmental reports

- Prepare and coordinate the production of high quality reports

- Influence, mentor and coach junior and intermediate staff with respect to their career path and professional development

- Display leadership in technical elements of project management

- Interaction with their international network of offices

You will possess:

- A relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline

- Specialist environmental experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments

- Experience and knowledge on Equator Principles and IFC’s Performance Standards

- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering teams and proven success in managing and participating in multidisciplinary projects

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and proactive approach in technical service delivery

- Client management and business development skills

- Excellent time management skills and advanced analytical and problem solving skills

- Experience/ knowledge on European/national EIA legislation

- Ability to undertake international travel as required for durations of approximately 5 days and occasionally for longer periods

 - Willingness to work on projects, including travel, within Saudi Arabia
