Work expected to be undertaken:
-Specialist water studies, including baseline data collection, dewatering management, slope depressurisation, pit lake management, closure evaluation, costing and planning etc.
-Water resources aspects of environmental/social impact assessment studies
-Supporting permit and authorisation application processes
-Contributing to project development studies from scoping through to engineering design
-Acting as project manager on technical studies
-Contributing to due diligence, third party reviews and competent persons reports
-Representing the company professionally and interfacing at all levels with the client's management and operations (and those of their other consultants)
-Business development from new and existing clients
Clients include major/mid-tier/junior mining companies, financial organisations and governments.
The focus of the work will be in the Nordic region and as such, you should have experience of working in accordance with local legislation in one or more of the Nordic countries. Proficiency in a Nordic language is essential. Other requirements:
-Preferably a higher degree in hydrogeology
-A significant amount of relevant experience
-Use of groundwater modelling, statistical and visualisation packages
-Track record of project management
-Strong report writing skills
-Excellent communication skills
