Sustainability Consultant

London (Greater) £21000-26000 per annum

My clients Sustainable Real Estate team provides a one-stop-shop approach to integrated energy sustainability services, targeted at significant property portfolio managers, and investors it relies heavily on extensive co-delivery requiring enhanced project management skills. Typical clients include corporates, financial institutions, architects and asset managers and their services range from the delivery of compliance support to energy surveys and portfolio assessment.

They are specifically looking for a graduate/junior consultant to join their London team to assist in the delivery of Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) services. There will be scope to enhance the role to the delivery of other energy and sustainability support, notably around sustainable asset management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the success of this business they are looking for a graduate/consultant with ideally some experience to join the team who has had exposure to working in the real estate sector and is confident dealing with clients and providing broad advice on a range of issues including CRC, EPCs, DEC's, and wider sustainability. The focus of this role is CRC and the improvement of existing building stock.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate both technical and strong interpersonal and project management skills. Successful applicants should demonstrate:

*An awareness and understanding of the Carbon Reduction Commitment, with experience of advising clients an ideal.
*Understanding of key sustainability drivers affecting Real Estate/Property Investors.
*Commercially focused and able to work under pressure and often to very tight timescales.
*A driving licence is a pre-requisite for this role.
*Good presentation skills, and will be comfortable communicating findings at all levels.
*Level 3 and 4 EPC accreditation for non-domestic properties, ideal but not a pre-requisite;


Successful applicants will preferably have a Degree in science or engineering or other relevant subject and knowledge and experience of energy and sustainability issues and key drivers in the build environment.
