Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to undertake site investigations, interpretive reporting and risk assessments in our Contaminated Land team.
The individual must have experience in human health detailed quantitative risk assessments.
This position offers the opportunity to be closely involved in a wide range of land contamination investigations and assessments, including detailed inspections under Part 2A and with a particular focus on risk assessment.
Working alongside our established risk assessors you will be responsible for undertaking site investigations, generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments and assisting in the development of remediation strategies for land contamination.
They are seeking to recruit at Consultant level and would be keen to hear from candidates typically with proven relevant experience.
They would expect more experienced candidates to demonstrate experience in interpretative report writing, dealing with clients and have an understanding of project management principles.
Responsibilities will include significant technical inputs and management and delivery of projects with a contaminated land risk assessment bias, particularly human health risk assessments.
This role will also include the management of ground investigations to provide information required for human health and environmental risk assessments and involve liaison with clients and regulators, therefore the ability to communicate complex technical information is essential.
You will work within a team of both more and also less experienced staff across a number of offices, facilitating the delivery of a wide range of often technically challenging projects.
Development within the role would be expected and could be through increased technical expertise, project management, client management and / or staff management responsibilities.
Experience
You will have a science based first degree, preferably with a MSc in a relevant subject. You will be numerate and well organised, able to analyse and interpret site investigation data and enjoy seeking solutions to technical challenges. Demonstrable experience of report writing is also essential.

BSc (Hons) Relevant technical degree

MSc preferred in Enviironmental Science/ Engineering subject including land contamination risk assessment
